Who Benefits From Global Warming? Follow The Money To General Electric (GE)

The following are some posts on MSNBC's discussion forum on the Environment, at:http://boards.msn.com/MSNBCboards/board.aspx?BoardID=781

It looks like GE has positioned themselves very well to benefit from increased spending on "green" technology. And they control the press that tells us all what to believe. Do you ever wonder why smiling Brian Williams has some story about some weather disaster on the nightly news? And why does he always manage to somehow connect everything bad to "global warming"?

Everyone sure is beating up on CurveBall tonight......it is (almost) painful to watch. He is stubborn, I'll give him that. Does Al Gore really train his disciples that way?

Slightly off the subject, can someone explain why MSNBC keeps publishing these ridiculous articles, slide shows, interactive games and things totally in support of the idea that man is causing global warming and climate change.

Could it be that MSNBC is owned by General Electric (GE) which makes fluorescent light bulbs, solar energy products, wind turbines, and who knows what else, that will generate profit for them? I wonder, is Al Gore on their Board of Directors? Follow the money, follow the money they say....

Oh, and of course they are into "clean coal" technology....I wonder what government, (taxpayers) subsidies they get for that? Is it any wonder they support man-caused global warming.........they have all the solutions and they'll be more than happy to sell them to us, whether we need them or not.

It doesn't look like GE is doing too badly either...."earnings from continuing operations" of around $18 billion dollars per year. Not too shabby. It sounds like a great company. So when all of us pay more for everything because of "global warming", we should all feel real good because it will be going to increase the profits of such a fine company.

I really don't know how anyone with half a heart or a moral conscience could call global warming a scam, or a hoax. I mean I'll bet every one of our Congressmen and women own stock in GE.

First Quarter Earnings
GE announced record first-quarter 2007 earnings from continuing operations of $4.5 billion or $.44 per share, up 8% and 10%, respectively, from first quarter 2006.

DUDE, WHAT IS THIS ABOUT THE ANTARCTIC OCEAN BEING SATURATED WITH CO2 AND IT CANNOT ECEPT ANY MORE? ALSO MY SAGE PLANT NEVER DIED LAST WINTER. IT CAME BACK TO LIFE BY ITSELF THIS SPRING. MILD WINTER IS TO THANK FOR THAT. PEOPLE WILL BE MOVING NORTH. BUFFALO NY WILL BE AN ATTRACTIVE CITY OR NORTERN ONTARIO. BEACH HOUSE ON THE HUDSON BAY. THAT EXCITES ME.

One reporter talking to one scientist aboard a ship taking water samples and expressing an opinion, is not sound science. With all due respect, neither is your observation of how your sage plant survived the past winter.

And if you believe what you say, sell your Miami beachfront condos for pennies on the dollar and I'll sell you beachfront propert on Hudson's Bay. Do we have a deal?
