Climategate is not a tragedy; it is an opportunity to clean house, get rid of the vermin who have polluted the scientific community called climate "science". These so-called scientists, their fanatical supporters, assorted hypocrites like Al Gore, and their political supporters need to be weeded out and thrown out. This is a scandal of epic proportions and need to be dealt with as openly and strongly as possible. Peter |
"'The science is settled,' we've been told for decades by zealous proponents of manmade global warming hysteria."
ReplyDeleteOh really? Who says this? I looked for someone who actually said this (I thought it might be Gore) but couldn't find an attribution.
Then I found this on Wikipedia:
"'The science is settled' is a slogan attributed by opponents of the Kyoto Protocol and global warming theory to supporters notably in the Clinton administration. There are no known examples of its use outside the skeptic press, though some of the statements that were made have similar implications."
In other words, Pete, only the anti-warmists claim that the science is settled.
Don't believe Wikipedia? Prove them wrong.
"Thanks to an earth-shaking hacking scandal across the pond..."
ReplyDeleteWell, it's hardly that. It's gotten a little bit of press and a hearing at East Anglica U., but this hardly constitutes an earthquake. What was your previous post saying about exaggeration?
"...we now have mountains of documents from the world's leading global warming advocacy center..."
Most of these documents are day-to-day, hum-drum communiques. The only really interesting stuff is when these people used poor judgment in this wording. And since when was East Anglica the center of anything, much less the "world's leading advocacy center"?
"...that show the science is about as settled as a southeast Asian tsunami."
What was that about exaggeration? And that's in pretty poor taste, considering.
